Here’s a look at promotions, hirings, movers and newsmakers in the Memphis area business scene:
Jodi Black has recently joined the firm of Bailey & Greer as an associate attorney. After graduating from Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2004, Black worked in a medical malpractice firm for an insurance company defending physicians who had been sued for medical malpractice. In 2006, Black switched sides and began to work on behalf of people who had been seriously injured as a result of medical malpractice.
Evan Braswell has joined the Overton Park Shell staff as its operations manager. He received his Bachelor’s degree in public relations from Middle Tennessee State University and has nearly a decade of experience in hospitality and event management. Before coming on board with the Shell, he was Conference Center coordinator for the Butler Snow law firm.
Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South on Jan. 20 held a tour and open house with a ribbon cutting to explore its new home at the Wang Experiential Learning Center at 516 Tillman in the heart of Binghampton. The new building houses hands-on learning opportunities and JA capstone programs including JA BizTown and JA Finance Park.
This spring, Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics will open a new clinic at 2580 S. Lamar Boulevard in Oxford, Mississippi, bolstering its position as the largest orthopaedic practice in the West Tennessee and North Mississippi region. The new location will be open Monday through Friday and will be a full-service clinic.
