Francisco Crundolo speaking after his victory over Jack Draper: “I’m super happy, super proud of me, my team, my country. We knew it was going to be a really tough tie and that we have to win or win because if not we are out.

“I think Tomas [Martin Etcheverry] played a great match and I think I played one of the best matches of my life so I am super happy to beat a player like Jack.”

On the difference today: “Of course, in every tough match you have some shots, a bit of luck or some lines, if you go for it, you can hit some lines or you can hit a little bit out, but you have to go [for it] and I think that today I did that, I went every point forward, trying to be aggressive and play with my forehand and I think that was a big game again because I was really aggressive throughout the whole match.”

On week in Manchester: “I mean for all of us, it’s the first time here in Manchester. We are having a great week, we are enjoying a lot, we didn’t have too much time to go and visit around but I think the last day we will do it.”

On football: “We went to [Manchester] United and we see the stadium, sorry [Manchester] City fans but I will try and go to the [Manchester] City [stadium] now, but we are really [big] football fans, football is huge in Argentina, I don’t know here but maybe there is an Argentinian player in some stands, I don’t know if he is here. Football is huge in Argentina, so I think here too, so we will enjoy.”
